1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, or using Trot ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
2. What Trot is
Trot is a step-tracking app for iPhone with a virtual pet companion, built by Lambert Apps. It reads Health and motion data from your device to count steps, display stats, and react to your activity. Trot is for personal, informational, and entertainment use. It is not a medical device.
The free version of Trot shows ads. Trot Pro removes them.
3. Health data disclaimer
Step counts, distance, flights climbed, active minutes, and other metrics shown in Trot are estimates derived from Apple Health and your device's motion sensors. Accuracy varies based on how you carry your phone, sensor calibration, and other factors. Trot should not be used for medical decisions. If something feels off with your health, talk to a healthcare professional.
4. Trot Pro subscription
Trot offers an optional subscription called Trot Pro that unlocks:
- An ad-free experience
- Home screen widgets
- Full walking history and year/month Trends views
- All future Pro features as they ship
Subscription terms:
- Trot Pro is offered on an annual or monthly basis. Current pricing is shown in the app and on the App Store.
- The annual plan includes a 7-day free trial for first-time subscribers. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged for the first year.
- Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when the trial converts to a paid subscription.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Apple ID will be charged within 24 hours before renewal.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in iOS Settings. Tap your name, then Subscriptions.
- Billing and refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
- If subscription prices change, existing subscribers are notified in advance through the App Store and can cancel before the new price takes effect.
5. Apple App Store
Trot is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies to your use of the app. Apple is not a party to these terms, is not responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide support for it.
6. Acceptable use
You agree to use Trot for its intended purpose. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, and you may not use the app in ways that violate applicable laws.
7. Intellectual property
Trot, its artwork, code, illustrations, name, and mascot are owned by Lambert Apps and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy or redistribute the app's content without permission.
8. Limitation of liability
Trot is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lambert Apps is not liable for damages arising from the use of the app, including inaccurate step counts, missed goals, or loss of locally stored data.
9. Other provisions
If any part of these terms turns out to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms are the entire agreement between you and Lambert Apps about your use of the app.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will bump the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.
